Important notes about this hotfix rollup package

The following are some important notes about this hotfix rollup package:
  • We recommend that you back up the existing components in ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 before you install this hotfix rollup package.
  • You cannot remove this hotfix rollup package without also removing ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3. To remove this hotfix rollup package, you have to remove the whole ProClarity Analytics Server application.
  • To deploy ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 (x64), you must grant the installation account permissions to configure the IIS metabase.
  • To deploy ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 SP3 or higher on Windows Server 2008 SP2 (x64), you must have the Visual C++ Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update already installed. This hotfix rollup package fixes the following issue:

After you install ProClarity Analytics Server 6.3 Service Pack 3, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Internet Explorer stops responding when you try to access the home page of ProClarity Analytics Server.
  • You receive a "Catastrophic failure" error message when you click the My Views menu in ProClarity Web Professional.
  • You cannot start ProClarity Web Professional. Specifically, ProClarity Web Professional stops responding during the starting process.
