Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
SUMMARY
In Microsoft BackOffice Small Business Server (SBS) 4.5, there is a command-line option you can use to reinstall the SBS console. This option is designed to restore functionality of the SBS console by verifying and updating the necessary default settings of components.
MORE INFORMATIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. You can use the sbssetup.exe /reinstall command from SBS 4.5 CD3 to force a reinstallation of the console and all of its components. NOTE: To reinstall the SBS console, from a command prompt, run sbssetup /reinstall. Also, in CD3 of SBS 4.5, the path is: \sbsadmin\i386\sbssetup.exe /reinstall
Reinstallation overwrites all files in the root of the %SystemDrive%\SmallBusiness folder and the Html subfolder, with a few exceptions. The console reinstallation performs the following tasks:

Reinstalling SBS 4.5 Console Deletes All MAPI Profiles on Server
If any files are in use during the installation, they are copied after you restart the server. The information that is passed to the Administrator component during Setup is not available, so these keys are not written.
