Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry
SUMMARY
There are two options that you can enable in Windows 2000 for smart card removal. The first option locks the computer when a smart card is removed. This option lets you take a smart card with you when you leave your desk, keeping the session protected. The second option logs you off the workstation when you remove a smart card.
