Connect to Internet Icon Missing

SYMPTOMS

If you cancel the Internet Connection Wizard, the Connect to Internet icon is no longer displayed on the Windows desktop.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you click Cancel, click to select the Do Not Show the Internet Connection Wizard in the future check box, and then click Yes to close the Internet Connection Wizard.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, run the Internet Connection Wizard. To do this, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Internet Connection Wizard.
