FP2000: Syntax Error in Database Region When Using a Less Than Comparison

After you use the Database Results Wizard to insert a database region and you specify criteria or a file name that uses a "less-than" comparison, the following error message may appear:
Database Results Error NOTE: The stated error message may vary based on your actual database and the query you are using. However, the error message will contain the phrase "(missing operator) in query expression."

When you use a "less-than" comparison, FrontPage may not write the proper SQL syntax.

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods.
You Are Not Using a Custom QueryIf you are not using a custom query, follow these steps:
You Are Using a Custom QueryYou notice extra characters have been added to the end of your custom SQL statement. Usually, only an extra greater than sign is added (>). You need to modify the statement to remove the extra characters.In most cases, just remove the "greater-than" sign at the end of your SQL statement in step 2 and then complete the wizard. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
