FIX: Disabled Importing File in DTS Import CMD Dialog Box

SYMPTOMS

In the Data Transformation Services (DTS) Import Wizard, select a query to specify the data to transfer. If a valid SQL script file opens on the Type SQL Statement window, click NEXT. The NEXT button is disabled. Click Parse. The DTS Wizard message displays, the The SQL statement is valid. Click OK. After receiving the message that the statement is valid, it does not enable the NEXT button.

WORKAROUND

After importing the file, click Back to take you to the previous window in the DTS Wizard. Click NEXT without making any changes. In the Type SQL Statement window, the NEXT button is enabled.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
