SYMPTOMS

If a text file source has the "First row has column names" property selected, and the data is previewed multiple times from the Properties dialog box on the transformation for this connection, the column names may appear as a row of data.

This only happens if the source data is previewed multiple times after the Data Transformations Properties dialog box is invoked. If the Properties dialog box is closed and then reopened the first time the data is previewed it does not show the column names as data.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
