SUMMARY

Microsoft works to make computing as secure as possible for its customers. As part of this effort, Microsoft Security Essentials provides regular updates to the definition files that are used to identify viruses, spyware, and other potentially unwanted software. Microsoft Security Essentials also periodically provides detection engine updates. Microsoft delivers these updates through the Automatic Updates feature.
