The limits enforced on message size by SMTP blocks the delivery of system messages such as non-delivery reports (NDRs) and public folder replication that exceed the size limit.
WORKAROUND
To allow large messages such as replication between public folders or NDRs, you must increase the size limit allowed on inbound SMTP connections. Follow these steps to work around this problem.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
