FIX: Existing Connection Combo Box in DTS UI Displays Incorrect Connections

SYMPTOMS

When viewing multiple local packages in the Data Transformation Services (DTS) Designer, the Existing Connection combo box displayed after clicking the Execute SQL Task icon only shows the existing connections for the first local package opened, regardless of which package is being viewed.

WORKAROUND

Choose Execute SQL Task from the Task menu option instead of using the Execute SQL Task icon.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
