PRB: Hh.exe Causes an Access Violation When Opening .chm Files

SYMPTOMS

When opening any .chm files, an access violation occurs. Reinstalling HTML Help and Internet Explorer does not fix the problem.

CAUSE

The Hhctrl.ocx file is incompatible with version 3.92.017 of the Matrox Productive G100 PCI Dual Monitor video driver.

RESOLUTION

Update the Matrox Productive G100 PCI Dual Monitor video driver to version 3.93.024 or later.
