SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Word 2000 and Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 3.5, NaturallySpeaking displays the following error message:

Unable to initialize the dictation module.

CAUSE

NaturallySpeaking version 3.5 by Dragon Systems was designed for Microsoft Word 97 for Windows and is not compatible with Microsoft Word 2000.

To resolve this problem, update your Dragon NaturallySpeaking program with the NaturalWord Update for Microsoft Word 2000.
