FIX: Memory Leak in window.open Function Call

SYMPTOMS

The window.open function call may exhibit a memory leak when you are using Internet Explorer 5 to view a Web page.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.01 (or later). You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was corrected in Internet Explorer 5.01.
