SYMPTOMS

Queries containing the LIKE operator in a where clause, using a wildcard search, concatenated with the base column value, on a column involved in an index may produce inconsistent row patterns.

The following query is an example of when this problem may occur:

SELECT *
FROM T1 A, T2 B 
WHERE B.T2ID LIKE A.T1ID +'%'
AND A.T1CHAR LIKE 'ABC%'

STATUS
