In Microsoft Word 2000, when you open a document based on a template that contains a custom toolbar and then start a mail merge, the custom toolbar is no longer available in the original document.
CAUSE
After Word swaps Single Document Interface (SDI) frames, Word does not ensure that each frame's toolbar set has the correct custom toolbars.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
