Isinteg.exe does not fix certain errors in public folder replication tables in an Exchange Server 2007 environment

SYMPTOMS

You run the Information Store Integrity Checker (Isinteg.exe) tool on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server to eliminate errors from public folder databases and from mailbox databases. In this situation, the Isinteg.exe tool does not fix certain errors in the replication table of the public folders. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following: 

Error: ReplState 3856: (FID 0144-00000105DF5C): Unable to identify local server row in Replication state table for this FID.
Error: ReplState 3858: (FID 0144-00000105DF5D): Unable to identify local server row in Replication state table for this FID.
...

SUMMARY

Total number of tests : <Number> 
Total number of warnings :  <Number>
Total number of errors : <Number>
Total number of fixes : <Number> 
Total time : <Time> 

Note When this issue occurs, the public folders are replicated slowly, or they are not replicated at all.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • There are one or more remote rows for a FID.
  • There is no local row for the same FID.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
2407025  (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2407025/ ) Description of Update Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3
Note After you install the update rollup, run Isinteg.exe together with the -fix switch to fix ReplState issues in the public folder database.
