Untitled System Folder Appears in My Computer

SYMPTOMS

After you open My Computer, you may see an untitled folder. If you are viewing My Computer as a Web page, the untitled folder is identified as a system folder when you select it. You cannot open or delete the folder.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are running the "Tweaki...for Power Users" software by JerMar Software and you clear the Remove Dial-up Adapter from My Computer check box.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, click to select the Remove Dial-up Adapter from My Computer check box:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Tweaki...for Power Users, and then click Tweaki...for Power Users.
  2. Click to select the Remove Dial-Up Adapter from My Computer check box, click Apply, and then click Done.
  3. Click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer.
