Article ID: 238572 - Last Review: November 1, 2006 - Revision: 1.2 FTP Cache Request Through Web Proxy Does Not WorkThis article was previously published under Q238572 SYMPTOMS
When it is fetching an FTP file without a file name extension, Proxy Server 2.0 does not separate the HTTP headers from the data with a blank line as it should. Because of this, the browser cannot determine where the header ends and truncates the data until it finds two carriage return/line feeds (CR/LFs) in the data stream. The two CR/LFs are interpreted as the end of the headers.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain and install Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1). For additional information about obtaining and installing Proxy Server 2.0 SP1, please click the article number below
