SYMPTOMS

The Socks Proxy service in Microsoft Proxy Server 2.0 does not log a connection initialization until the connection is closed. Unsuccessful connections are not logged.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Proxy Server 2.0.
