SUMMARY

In any Routing Group, there is only one "master" server, and all other servers in the same Routing Group are "member" servers. This role can be modified using the Exchange System Manager.

To modify a server role in any Routing Group:

Start the Exchange System Manager.
Click to expand the following objects:
Exchange System
Administrative Groups
Your Administrative Group
Your Routing Group
Members
Right-click on any member server, and then click Set as Master.
