SYMPTOMSYou install Windows Internet Explorer 9 on a computer that is running Windows Vista. However, Internet Explorer 9 is replaced with Windows Internet Explorer 8 if you upgrade the computer to Windows 7. CAUSEWhen you upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7, the upgrade process does not check the current version of Internet Explorer. Windows then installs Internet Explorer 8 from the Windows 7 installation source. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install Internet Explorer 9 after you upgrade to Windows 7.
