Requirements

You need to install Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 or later before you install the SP6 rollup fix for IAS. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition. The SP6 rollup fix for IAS supersedes all earlier fixes available for IAS. After you install the rollup fix, you do not need to install the earlier individual IAS fixes.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows NT 4.0 service pack that contains this fix.
