FIX: Logreader Failure with TEXT/IMAGE Data Inserted Through BCP

SYMPTOMS

After using the Bulk Copy Program (BCP) to move data into replicated tables containing TEXT/IMAGE datatypes, Logreader fails and displays the error:

Replication failure. File 'R:\SPHINX\NTDBMS\srvrepl\src\pfmt.cpp', line 445.

-or-

Replication failure. File 'R:\SPHINX\NTDBMS\srvrepl\src\replicat.cpp', line 1381.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 1 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
