After you install Windows 2000, the following error message may be displayed when you start your computer:
Stop 0x000000B4 The video driver failed to initialize
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a conflict with the parallel port and the video card, if the parallel port I/O address is set to 03BC.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, change the parallel port I/O address from 03BC to 0378 using one of the following methods:
Change the I/O port resource setting for the parallel port in the BIOS for your computer. For information on how to change BIOS settings, please refer to the hardware documentation included by your computer manufacturer. MORE INFORMATION
