A shortcut menu may appear far away from the mouse pointer when you run a Windows Presentation Foundation application that is based on the .NET Framework 4

Consider the following scenario:

• You run a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application on a computer that has multiple monitors attached.
• The WPF application is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.
• You open a shortcut menu in the WPF application.

In this scenario, the shortcut menu may appear far away from the mouse pointer. Additionally, the shortcut menu may unexpectedly be clipped by the screen.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
