When you call the SetEntriesInAcl function you may receive error message 87 ("ERROR_INVALID_PARAMTER"), even though all the parameters are valid and the function should succeed.
CAUSE
This behavior is caused by a regression introduced in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.
RESOLUTIONWindows NT Server or Workstation 4.0To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:
