Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • On a Microsoft SharePoint site, you create a document library view that contains a group.

  • In Microsoft Outlook, you set the document library address as the Home Page address for a folder.

  • You also select the Show home page by default for this folder option on the Home Page tab.

  • You click the folder to view the document library. Then, you expand the group in the document library view.

In this scenario, you receive the following script error message:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

More Information

Outlook does not support the larger range of web content that web browsers such as Windows Internet Explorer support. When you view the same content in a dedicated web browser, you do not experience the behavior that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
