A security issue has been identified in Bing Bar in Mozilla Firefox. This issue does not affect Bing Bar in Windows Internet Explorer. Customers can help protect their computers by disabling Bing Bar in Firefox.

Mozilla has automatically disabled all versions of Bing Bar in Firefox. No additional action is required by customers.

To disable Bing Bar in Firefox manually, follow these steps: 
  1. Start Firefox, and then click Add-ons on the Tools menu.
  2. Click Extensions, and then click Bing Bar.
  3. Click Disable, and then close the Add-ons dialog box.

Microsoft will no longer support Bing Bar in Mozilla Firefox. To install Bing as a search provider in Firefox, download the add-on from the following Mozilla website:
