Article ID: 243116 - Last Review: June 21, 2004 - Revision: 5.0 Only a certain number of clients can join a NetMeeting conference
This article was previously published under Q243116 SYMPTOMSWhen you set up a large conference, no more than a specific number of clients can call any single participant in the conference. Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Millennium Edition are limited to eight clients. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 are limited to 16 clients. WORKAROUND To work around this behavior, the people in the conference must call a different client. For example, eight people call the top provider, eight people call each of those original clients, and so on. This workaround lets you establish larger conferences, but we do not support it. MORE INFORMATION The available bandwidth limits the number of people who can be in a single
conference. There is no specific limit to the number
of people who can be in a single call. APPLIES TO
