在預設的狀況下，Windows 2000 允許通過驗證的使用者 10 個電腦帳戶加入網域。如果使用者在嘗試加入的第十一個機器帳戶，便會顯示下列的 Microsoft 知識庫文件編號中所列的錯誤訊息：

目前使用者所擁有的工作站數目的計算方式是查看 ms DS CreatorSID 屬性的電腦帳戶。

若要修改允許更多或更少的電腦帳戶在網域上的 Active Directory，使用 Adsiedit 工具。

警告不當使用 「 Adsiedit 」 可能會導致嚴重的問題，可能必須重新安裝作業系統。Microsoft 無法保證從 Adsiedit 的使用不正確所造成的問題可以獲得解決。Adsiedit 您必須承擔使用自己的風險。
