Uninstalling Internet Explorer 5.01 Deletes Custom Security Settings

When you uninstall Internet Explorer 5.01, the security level of the Local Intranet zone may be changed from Medium-Low to Medium.

This issue can occur if you upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.01 over Internet Explorer 5, and you deleted the Internet Explorer 5 backup information before upgrading to Internet Explorer 5.01.

To resolve this issue, change the security setting to the correct level:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click the Local Intranet zone, and then set the appropriate security level.
4. Click OK.
