Access Violation When Dragging Text from Input Field

SYMPTOMS

When you are using an INPUT field inside a scriptlet, Internet Explorer generates an access violation when you try to drag text from the edit box. The error message is similar to:
Internet Explorer caused an Access Violation at Address 0x70dd1440.
could not READ from 0x00000000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer version 5.01. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
