As part of our ongoing effort to help ensure the highest quality web conferencing experience for our partners and customers, Microsoft is implementing a new lifecycle policy for the Office Live Meeting client.
Microsoft currently releases an update to the Office Live Meeting client approximately every quarter. In the past year, Office Live Meeting has delivered numerous improvements to the audio, video, and recording functionalities as well as implemented new capabilities to allow a richer meeting experience. By installing a current Office Live Meeting client, end users are able to take advantage of these enhancements which will help ensure a more successful Office Live Meeting experience.
What technical help will be provided if a user has installed an Office Live Meeting client that was released more than 18 months ago and calls support for help?
In the event of a support call where Microsoft finds that the Live Meeting customer is using a version of the Office Live Meeting client that was released more than eighteen months prior, Microsoft Support will advise the customer to upgrade to the most current version of the Office Live Meeting client.

This policy only applies to the usage of the Office Live Meeting client with the Office Live Meeting service.
When used against Office Communications Server (R2) for a customer’s on premise usage, the Office LiveMeeting client follows the lifecycle of the OCS server product. The support lifecycle for OCS can be found here
