Known issue
After you install the hotfix package in this article, the content deployment import job enters an endless loop and never finishes. Specifically, this issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
The pages library has a content type that contains a calculated field.
The calculated field that is used in the formula was deployed previously.
An unnecessary incremental crawl occurs in Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0 when you remove a user from WSS group.
You configure the WSS 3.0 farm by using SQL authentication. When you change the password of the SQL authentication, you have to rebuild the SharePoint farm.
You perform a successful content deployment from one WSS 3.0 site to another WSS 3.0 site. Then, you change the column settings of a content type in the source WSS list. In this situation, when you perform the content deployment again, the column settings does not update correctly.
Note This issue also occurs when you use the stsadm command to perform an export and an import operation.
You create a text column that contains a valid Italian formula in a document or a list in a SharePoint 2007 site. Then, you perform a full or an incremental content deployment. In this situation, when you try to perform a full or an incremental content deployment again, you receive the following exception message:
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: La formula contiene un errore di sintassi o non è supportata.
Consider the following scenario:
You create a list in a SharePoint 2007 site.
You perform an export process for the list in the site.
You perform an import process for the list in the site.
In this scenario, the created time of the list is replaced by the import time.
Consider the following scenario:
You create an item and then add an attachment in a list under a SharePoint 2007 non-root site collection.
You perform a content deployment from the non-root site collection to another non-root site collection.
You delete the attachment from the item in the list under the source site collection.
You perform the content deployment again.
In this scenario, the attachment is not deleted from the item in the list under the destination site collection.
When you perform a content database migration by using the stsadm –o mergecontentdbs command in WSS 3.0, the audit data in the original content database is not migrated in the destination content database.
You create two domains, one is for a SharePoint 2007 server and another for a SQL server. Then, you connect the SharePoint server to the SQL server by using SQL authentication. In this situation, when you try to perform a user migration operation by using the stsadm -o migrateuser command in the SharePoint server, you receive the following error message:
Unable to connect to database. Check database connection information and make sure the database server is running.
Consider the following scenario:
You create a list in a SharePoint 2007 site.
You attach a workflow to the list.
You create a new item in the list to trigger the workflow.
In this scenario, the correct user information in the user field is not displayed or replaced by other information.
Note This issue occurs after you apply the hotfix package that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 970946.
You create more than 100 groups in a SharePoint 2007 site. Then, you deploy content from this site to another site. In this situation, the paging control does not show correctly on the destination site. However, the groups are imported successfully in the destination site.
Note This issue also occurs when you use the stsadm command to perform an export and an import operation.
You break permissions inheritance and then grant permissions only to a SharePoint 2007 document library. When you try to create alert notifications on this document library, you receive the following error message:
Access Denied
You enable content approval on a list in a Share Point 2007 site. You set the Someone else changes an item created by me alert notification. However, you never receive an email message when other users change an item in the list.
