INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes

Consider the following scenario:
-
You create an email message in Microsoft Outlook 2010.
-
You enter text into the email message while using a Hebrew keyboard driver.
-
You press the Caps Lock key to type some Uppercase Latin characters.
-
You release the Caps Lock key and continue typing Hebrew characters.
In this scenario, the font for the Hebrew text may not be displayed correctly.

Consider the following scenario:
-
In a Word 2010 document, you add a paragraph that spans the bottom of the current page and the top of the next page.
-
You add a StyleRef field that has the \l field switch into the headers and the footers of the document.
In this scenario, the text style at the bottom of the current page is not applied to the text in the StyleRef field. Instead, the text style at the top of the next page is incorrectly applied to the text in the StyleRef field.

Word 2010 crashes when you use a Helvetica Type 1 font in a Word 2010 document. Also, Outlook 2010 crashes when you use a Helvetica Type 1 font in an Outlook 2010 email message.

You insert a Text Form field that has a Number format into a Word 2010 document. Then you save and close the document. In this situation, the Number format disappears when you open the document again.

You apply Multilevel List numbering to the paragraphs in a Word 2010 document. Then you save the document as a PDF or an XPS file. In this situation, Word 2010 crashes.

You save a Word 2010 document as a PDF or an XPS file. Then, you open the PDF or the XPS file. In this situation, some words in the file are either duplicated or missing.

You add an Index field to a Word 2010 document. Additionally, the Index field has a Reference Document (RD) field that points to another Word document. In this situation, Word 2010 crashes when you try to update the Index field.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by these problems, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time.
