To enable this hotfix on the computer that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook, enable the OutlookSyncDisableTaskReminderTime DWORD registry entry under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRMClient registry subkey. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRMClient
  3. Right-click OutlookSyncDisableTaskReminderTime, and then click Modify.
  4. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  5. On the File menu, click Exit.
Notes
  • The default value for the OutlookSyncDisableTaskReminderTime DWORD registry entry is 0.
  • If the OutlookSyncDisableTaskReminderTime DWORD registry entry is 1, Microsoft Dynamics CRM sets the Reminder time of a task record as follows:
    • If the updated Due time is later than the Reminder time, the Reminder time is not updated.
    • If the updated Due time is earlier than the Reminder time, the Reminder time is updated to the Due time.
    • If no Reminder time is set, the Reminder time is updated to the Due time.

STATUS
