SYMPTOMSYou apply Update Rollup 1 or Update Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 (SP3) on the passive node of a single copy cluster (SCC). In this scenario, the Microsoft.Exchange.Search.ExSearch.exe (Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer) process consumes 100% of CPU resources and many UDP ports. During this time, the Microsoft Exchange Replication Service service and Cluster Service service cannot start, and you receive the following error message: Win32Exception: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper CAUSEThis issue occurs because an exception occurs in the Microsoft.Exchange.Search.ExSearch.exe process.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:

Description of Update Rollup 3 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, set the startup type of the Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer service to Manual. Or, you can set the Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer service as a dependency of the Cluster Service service. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
