Symptoms

In Office Groove 2007, File Sharing workspaces were not supported on 64-bit platforms. You could create the workspace, but the folder would not synchronize with other members or computers.

Resolution

This feature works on 64-bit platforms in SharePoint Workspace 2010, the successor product to Office Groove 2007. The Shared Folder workspace type is equivalent to the 2007 File Sharing workspace type. Shared Folders can include members on both versions, but only people running SharePoint Workspace 2010 will be able to synchronize content to and from a 64-bit platform.

To create a Shared Folder workspaces in SharePoint Workspace 2010, follow these steps:

  1. On the Home tab of the Launchbar, click New,  and then click to select Shared Folder.
  2. Provide the information requested by the program.
