This issue can occur if the configuration for the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) was changed and does not match the settings that the Windows Small Business Server console expects. The Small Business Server console expects WSUS to be configured to use certain options.
To resolve this issue, run the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server Best Practice Analyzer (Windows SBS BPA). The Windows SBS BPA has an extensive set of rules that can help detect when WSUS is misconfigured. To obtain the SBS BPA, go to the
