SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You develop a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 OS design that includes the following Sysgen variables:
    • SYSGEN_RDP
    • SYSGEN_RDP_UI
    • SYSGEN_RDP_SMARTCARD
Then, you run the generated image on a device.

Note A smart card reader is not connected to the device.
  • You enable the smart card redirection feature on the device.
  • You establish a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session from the device to a desktop computer.
  • You try to use an application on the device that enables you to perform some action, through the RDP session, on the desktop computer. The application calls the SCardListReaders function.
In this scenario, the SCardListReaders function returns the SCARD_E_NO_SERVICE error code.

Note The SCardListReaders function is expected to return the SCARD_E_NO_READERS_AVAILABLE error code.
