PPT97: Presentation Contains Slides with No Content

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft PowerPoint 97, when you open a presentation that was created in PowerPoint 2002, many of the slides in the presentation have no content. The first slide and several subsequent slides contain the expected content, but the remaining slides appear to be empty master slides.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the presentation created in PowerPoint 2002 contains multiple masters.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft PowerPoint 97 SR-1.
