Article ID: 2491751 - Last Review: August 10, 2011 - Revision: 2.1 The spelling checker does not work correctly in OWA when an S/MIME control is used and when SSL Offloading is enabled in Exchange Server 2007
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
Issue 1Misspelled words are not flagged by the spelling checker. Additionally, you receive a "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely" security warning message.Note Nothing happens when you click the Yes or the No button. Issue 2The Copy, Cut and Paste commands are dimmed when you right-click in the email message body. However, the keyboard shortcuts for these commands function as normal.Issue 3You cannot embed images in the email message body. After you send an email message that has a pasted image, the image is missing when the email message is received. Additionally, the image is also missing in the email message that is stored in the Sent Items folder.CAUSEThis issue occurs because S/MIME only treats the HTTPS protocol as the valid protocol. However, when SSL offloading is enabled, incoming traffic is transferred by using the HTTP protocol. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the following update rollup: 2509911
