SYMPTOMSWhen you use Microsoft Exchange Server and you try to send email messages through Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE), the messages are not sent successfully. CAUSEThis issue occurs if an outgoing Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) configuration is not established correctly between Exchange Server and FOPE data centers. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, use the following Microsoft TechNet article to make sure that the Exchange Server configuration for outgoing SMTP mail to FOPE is configured correctly: Set up Outbound Email Filtering
