Error message appears when you try to open a Web folder by using a Web address

SYMPTOMS

When you type an address in the Open dialog box in Internet Explorer 5.0 and then try to open the file as a Web folder, you may receive the following message:

Address Too Long
The web folder address Internet Explorer was given was too long. Please use a shorter address.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when the address you type is 100 characters or more in length and the Open as Web Folder check box is selected.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, click to clear the Open as Web Folder check box, or type a shorter address.
