SYMPTOMSAfter installing Outlook 2010 Standalone and Office 2010 Home and Student, you are unable to use some features in Outlook. For example, themes, table formatting, proofing tools and Word Art are not available. The Preview Attachments feature is also disabled. CAUSEYou installed Office 2010 Home and Student as Click-to-Run. Outlook Standalone cannot display the Word features when used with Click-to-Run. RESOLUTIONIn order for Outlook 2010 Standalone to enable all features, Office 2010 Home and Student must be installed using the standard MSI installation. If Office 2010 Click-to-Run does not meet your needs, uninstall it. Then, install Office 2010 standard MSI version. NoticeEven after you install Home and Student MSI, the Themes feature still remains unavailable. This is a known problem, and there is no workaround.
