The Adoption Reporting Tool collects no data if the first CDR database is unavailable

SYMPTOMS

You use the Adoption Reporting Tool (ART) to collect the Call Detail Record (CDR) data from multiple Monitoring servers that are deployed in a Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 environment. However, the first CDR database that the ART tries to connect to is unavailable. In this situation, the ART collects no CDR data.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
2501718 Description of the cumulative update for Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Adoption Reporting Tool for Office Communications Server 2007 R2: March, 2011

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
