XCLN: Delegate Cannot Modify an Owner's Appointment Twice

SYMPTOMS

When a delegate attempts to modify an owner's appointment a second time, the delegate may receive one of the following error messages, the first for Outlook 97, or the second for Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000:
  • Unable to directly book the resource "ResourceAccount". Would you like to send a meeting request to the resource instead? If not, you may want to remove the resource from the attendee list.
    Unable to directly book the resource "ResourceAccount". This resource does not allow direct booking for recurring appointments. Would you like to send a meeting request to the resource instead? If not, you may want to remove the resource from the attendee list.
This error message is displayed if the appointment has a Microsoft Schedule+ resource account invited for direct booking.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
