For example, you have a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and that hosts 20 VMs. The VMs use the RemoteFX feature. However, about only 10 VMs that use the RemoteFX feature start at the same time. CauseThis issue occurs because of an error when the graphics processing units (GPUs) that try to run RemoteFX are not accessed by the server. Note Without this hotfix, this issue occurs randomly and might not appear after you restart the computer. ResolutionThe following hotfix has to be installed on the server and does not apply to the VMs. Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article.
