SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service crashes on a computer that has Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Application log:

Description:
Watson report about to be sent for process id: ID , with parameters: paramter , MSExchangeMailboxReplication, M.Exchange.PST, M.E.P.PSTFolder..ctor, System.NullReferenceException, c16e, version number.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the value of certain variable is set to Null. However, the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service does not check for null value before it accesses the variable.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
