When you try to resize the grid pane or SQL pane in a view in a Microsoft Access project, you may receive the following error message:
In Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98:
Then Microsoft Access quits unexpectedly.
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. MSACCESS caused an invalid page fault in MDT2FW.DLL at 0167:580bf90f.
In Microsoft Windows NT:
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. MSAccess.exe NOTE: In Microsoft Windows 2000, you do not receive an error message, but Access does quit unexpectedly. CAUSE
When you resized the pane in Design view of a view, you clicked the right mouse button during the resizing operation.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

To temporarily work around this problem, do not click the right mouse button when you resize the panes. Be sure to release the left mouse button first to end the resizing operation before you begin any other operation that may require you to click the right mouse button.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
